PULSES AND LENTILS
Pulses are the national association of growers, traders and processors of Canadian pulses, also known as lentils, dry peas, beans and chickpeas. Pulses are an essential part of a healthy and sustainable diet.
WHOLE CANADA RED LENTIL
The skin is removed from the lentil, leaving the inside portion of the seed whole. The result is a beautiful intact, reddish-orange polished product. They are high in protein like any legume, bean or lentil.

CHICKPEAS, OATS AND BARLEY
Kabuli are large, and beige-colored throughout, with a thin skin. However, in the market, both are simply designated chickpeas.
Desi Chickpeas are smaller, angular seeds with thick seed coats that range in colour from light tan and speckled to solid black. Desi Chickpeas are the most widely grown under dry land.
The oat, sometimes called the common oat, is a species of cereal grain grown for its seed, which is known by the same name. One of the most common use is as livestock feed.
Barley, a member of the grass family, is a major cereal grain grown in temperate climates. It was one of the first cultivated grains.
